Welcome Back to the 2026-2027 School Year

Greetings, RHS Families!

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer as we prepare to ELEVATE into the 2026-2027 school year. Welcome back to all of our returning families, and a special welcome to those joining the Renaissance High School community for the first time. We are excited to partner with you for another incredible year of learning and growth.

Please remember that the first day of school is August 24, 2026!

We also invite everyone to participate in our upcoming RHS Golf Outing. Please see the attached flyer for additional details. If you have questions, contact Mr. Flowers at darrin.flowers@detroitk12.org or Mr. Lopez at joshua.lopez@detroitk12.org. We are currently seeking golfers, sponsors, and donations. Join us on the greens and connect with the Renaissance High School community!

Our RHS Travel Club will be traveling to Spain during Spring Break this year. All students are welcome to participate in this exciting educational opportunity. To secure the current trip cost, the down payment must be submitted by August 27. We encourage students to take advantage of this memorable international learning experience.

Please be sure to review the attached Family Welcome Packet, which contains important information for the upcoming school year. Please note that orientation sessions are mandatory and will be held by grade level. I especially encourage all incoming 9th-grade families and parents who are new to Renaissance High School to join us on August 19 for Parent Orientation and our Back-to-School Event. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the administrative team, learn about our school, and connect with other families.
