The Lady Phoenix of Renaissance High School delivered an unforgettable performance as they battled their way to a thrilling 62–60 double-overtime victory over Wayne Memorial High School to claim the Division 1 Regional Championship in the Michigan High School Athletic Association state tournament.

In a game filled with intensity, determination, and resilience, the Lady Phoenix refused to back down. Both teams traded baskets throughout regulation, with strong defense and clutch plays keeping the score tight until the final buzzer forced overtime.

The first overtime period only added to the drama. With neither team willing to give an inch, the battle continued into a second overtime as fans watched a true test of endurance and heart on the court.

In the final moments of the second overtime, Renaissance rose to the challenge. The Lady Phoenix executed key plays on both ends of the floor, combining strong defense with timely scoring to secure the 62–60 victory and the regional title.
